We Are Eagles

At SOPAR we represent the characteristics of the eagle. If you study the behavior of the eagle, you will find that eagles fly alone at high altitudes, they have extraordinary vision, they are fearless and never surrender to the size or strength of their prey. Eagles are steadfast and disciplined, and they possess vitality (strength). As believers of Jesus Christ, gifted with the prophetic anointing, we exercise these fine qualities as ambassadors for the Kingdom of God.

What are the characteristics of an eagle that we should strive to possess?

Eagles Dream Big

The eagle soars higher than every other bird because it has the capacity and boldness to get to such height. Therefore, whenever you see an eagle, it is a sign that you can dream big, and achieve great things. It is time for you to aim higher than your current level. This is the will of God for you.

“… Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Matthew 17:20

Eagles Are Courageous

Eagles are courageous creatures. Therefore, the eagle is symbolic of facing your fears. Don’t allow the failures of the past to hold you down from attempting new things. It is the will of God for you to be courageous.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Joshua 1:19

Eagles Are Deeply Connected With The Spirit World

An eagle has a close affinity with the spirit world because of how high it flies above every other bird in this world. Therefore, the eagle is called to a deeper spiritual connection through prayer, meditation, and fasting.

It is time to connect with the spirit world more than ever before. It is time for you to become aligned and reconciled with Christ. This is the will of God for us.

But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.

John 4:23-24

Eagles Are Resilient

The ability to never give up on our dreams is the power of an eagle. Eagles are resilient creatures. Therefore, allow the power of God to guide you as an eagle to fill your life with the tenacity to go through tough times without falling apart. This is God’s will for your life.

But those who wait on the Lord, Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31

Eagles Have Deep Foresight

God has granted His eagles the ability to see into the future. The eyes of an eagle are sharp. Therefore, with the eyes of an eagle, you will be able to see events before they happen and prepare for what is to come. This is the prophetic spiritual meaning. David, himself had deep foresight about the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Dear brothers, think about this! You can be sure that the patriarch David wasn’t referring to himself, for he died and was buried, and his tomb is still here among us. But he was a prophet, and he knew God had promised with an oath that one of David’s own descendants would sit on his throne. David was looking into the future and speaking of the Messiah’s resurrection. He was saying that God would not leave him among the dead or allow his body to rot in the grave.

Acts 2:29-31

Eagles Are Born To Lead

God uses the eagle to show you what your future looks like, to reveal that you are born to be a leader. Therefore, it is time to prepare yourself for the task of bringing glory to God through your life.

Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

Matthew 28:19-20

Eagle Means Victory

An eagle is a sign of victory. It always overpowers its prey – no matter how large it is.

But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.
